- General Information
We are committed to ensuring that your order is delivered safely and efficiently. This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to all deliveries made by Taggit Asset Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order with us, you (“the Client” or “you”) agree to these terms.
- Delivery Method
- All orders are shipped via reputable third-party courier services.
- Deliveries will be made to the delivery address provided at order. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure the address is accurate and accessible.
- Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to factors beyond our control, including courier delays, customs clearance, strikes, hijackings, theft, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Dispatch and Lead Times
- Orders are generally dispatched within 5 business days of payment confirmation, or in the case of imported products, 2 business days of receipt and QA inspection.
- You will receive a tracking number (if available) once your order has been dispatched.
- We cannot guarantee exact delivery times.
- Risk and Liability
- Risk of loss, damage, or theft of goods passes to the Client once the goods leave our premises and are handed over to the courier.
- While we take every precaution to ensure safe packaging and delivery, we will not be liable for:
- Losses due to hijacking, theft, or robbery during transit.
- Damage caused by mishandling in transit.
- Any loss or damage exceeding R50,000.00 (the maximum courier insurance cover included in our standard service).
- Insurance
- Our courier partners provide limited insurance cover up to R50,000.00 per consignment.
- Should the value of your order exceed this amount, we strongly recommend that you arrange your own additional insurance cover.
- The Client may request to add extended insurance through our courier partner (if available) at an additional cost or make independent insurance arrangements.
- Delivery Acceptance
- The Client (or their representative) is required to inspect goods upon delivery.
- Any visible damage must be noted on the courier’s delivery slip at the time of delivery.
- Claims for shortages, damages, or incorrect goods must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
- Failed Deliveries
- If the courier is unable to deliver due to incorrect address details, unavailability of the recipient, or restricted access, the Client will be responsible for any re-delivery charges incurred.
- International Shipping (if applicable)
- For cross-border deliveries, the Client is responsible for all applicable customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, and compliance with local import regulations.
- Delivery times for international orders may vary depending on customs clearance and local courier handling.
- Force Majeure
- We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, war, government restrictions, hijackings, or courier service disruptions.
- Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our liability for any claim relating to loss, damage, or delay in delivery shall not exceed the amount of R50,000.00 or the value of the goods shipped, whichever is lower, unless additional insurance has been arranged and paid for.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses suffered by the Client as a result of delivery delays, damage, or loss.
- Client Acknowledgment
- By placing an order, the Client acknowledges and accepts that:
- Courier services carry inherent risks.
- The standard courier insurance is limited and may not cover the full value of their goods.
- They are responsible for arranging additional insurance if required.
- Amendments
- We reserve the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. Any updated policy will be published on our website and will apply to all subsequent orders.
